Oboe da Caccia Cases
Over the past few years, Oboe da Caccia cases have been continuously improved based on player feedback. Some musicians prefer a compact case with snaps for easy storage in a backpack, while others opt for a dedicated backpack-style case for added convenience. Designing a case for this unique instrument—especially models with a brass round bell or a long, curved body—has been a challenge, but I’ve developed three models that have been well received by players:
-
Case with Snaps:
-
Similar to the Baroque oboe case with snaps, but with a 3D-shaped design to securely accommodate the bell.
-
-
Backpack Case:
-
Features a front pocket and removable foam-padded straps for comfort.
-
The latest version is made with waterproof fabric and velvet lining, an upgrade from the earlier all-velvet design.
-
-
Zipper Case with Front Pocket:
-
Developed in collaboration with Paul van der Linden in the Netherlands.
-
A simple, lightweight design with a zipper, allowing for easy storage—possibly even inside a backpack.
-
Each model is designed to provide the best combination of protection, convenience, and style.
